The Utkal University, established in the year 1943, is the Seventeenth oldest University in India. Its present campus at Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar is located in an area of 399.9 Acres with the Sainik School to its north, National High way No.5 to it south, Regional Research Laboratory and Institute of Physics to its west and the south Eastern Railway line to its east.

The Department of Business Administration was set up in 1984 with the objective of providing education. The Department of Business Administration, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar is the only management school in eastern India offering Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management in collaboration with Center For Agri Management.

the MBA agribusiness Programme has tremendous potential for gainfull employment and career advancement.the department also looks forward tobe a resourse instituion faciliating research and imparting quality professional management education in india.
